It's true...holidays are best with family...and even better with little babies! I know Liam is too young to get excited over his gifts, but I was excited enough for the two of us! One of my favorite gifts for Liam was the collection of golden spine books from Grandpa and Grandma Warlick! There was a mixture of classic titles like the Baggy Saggy Elephant, and new ones that featured Toy Story characters. Our opulent stockings featured amazing plane supplies like hand sanitizer, magazines, and books!
After being showered with gifts, the majority of us headed out to see MI:Ghost Protocol. This was not the first movie Liam has sat through(more like fed and slept through), and I wonder how long he will be a compliant movie companion. Following our movie, we headed off to the gym to get the blood flowing before our 18 hours of stagnant flight time we were committed the following day. It was the first time I was able to run post-Liam! I had tried once before at my six weeks postpartum mark, but it was not pretty. Since I am nursing, the ladies felt WAY too sore to run for more than 30 seconds. This time around I took my mom-friend's advice and layered up for more support. I successfully ran a full mile! Since then I have ran several more times...stretching out the distance each time. I am now back up to three mile run stretches!
This picture is so sweet! Love and snuggles are still his favorite present of the day!
