The Move

As I mentioned earlier, we are moving! It is all very exciting (except for the packing of course). Ever since high school, Ryan has been applying to enter the military as an officer. For a variety of reasons(aka God's timing) his dream had not come to fruition. That is, until last month when we found out that he had been officially accepted to join the military as a Reserve Marine Officer! For us, that means Ryan will be spending ten weeks at OCS (equivalent to boot camp), starting the 23rd of this month...so prayers would be lovely!

Now what does that mean for Liam and me? We will be boxing up all our home goods, dumping them in storage, and trekking 160 up north to live with my sister's family for the ten weeks. I am so blessed to have an amazing sister who is willing to shift her whole home around to accommodate us. Plus, we shared a room our entire childhood, so we both know we are uber-compatible in the living department.

Following the first ten weeks, Ryan will have an additional six months of training, all in the northern Virginia area. From there, he will have more training designated by his specific job lasting anywhere from two to four more months. In other words, 2012 will be surely full of adventure and surprises! The fact that I get to experience them with my two favorite men is all I need to anticipate a wonderful year!
